Visitor’s Guide to the RV Museum on Amarillo’s Route 66!
If you’ve never been to Amarillo, Texas… well, you’re probably on a long list of people! Amarillo isn’t exactly what I would call a “travel destination”, but it does have a couple of notable things going for it. Number 1 is that it’s located on I-40, which is one of the main coast-to-coast interstates in the country. Number 2 is that it’s located along Route 66, and is home to one of its most famous attractions – Cadillac Ranch! Amarillo is a good Route 66 stop because it has several attractions besides Cadillac Ranch, and one of those attractions is the Jack Sisemore’s Traveland RV Museum! You may wonder how I…

Tips for Visiting Denali National Park and Preserve
Well, it looks like Sara is allowing me to grace you with my presence again, thanks, Sara! =) As promised, my next stop to share with y’all is Denali National Park. Wow, this park was not like any other park we’ve experienced! There is just ONE road in Denali and you’re only allowed to drive so far – the first fifteen miles to be exact! Because of this, most people (like us) choose to do the tour bus to get the most out of it. We spent a couple of days here and I suggest you do the same. Honestly, I don’t know if there is ever enough time to…

Instead of getting gifts, we rent an…

Tips for Visiting Doc Holliday’s Memorial – A Glenwood Springs Must-See!
So, I’ve gotta say…I feel like I’m really not that old. I’m in my early 30’s, so I think we can all agree that I definitely don’t have one foot in the grave. Despite this, I feel really old when I talk to others about Doc Holliday. I literally can’t count on my one hand how many people have given me a blank stare when I talk about hiking to Doc Holliday’s Memorial in Glenwood Springs, CO. Here’s how the conversation typically goes: Me: Oh yes, I love visiting Glenwood Springs! We like to hike up to Doc Holliday’s Memorial. You can access it from the middle of town! People who…

Top Tips For Driving Colorado’s Skyline Drive!
When I was young and still in early elementary school, my family traveled with my Uncle’s family to Colorado. (Little did I know that I would be living there one day!) Honestly, I don’t remember a whole lot from the trip (youth really is wasted on the young isn’t it??), but I do remember everyone’s reaction to driving on Skyline Drive! Note, I said I remember everyone’s reaction…I didn’t even know we had done it until we were looking at souvenirs saying, “I Survived Skyline Drive!” I asked my mom what that was and she told me we had just done it. Insert face slap emoji. Regardless of my amazing and…

Hike Colorado’s Raspberry Mountain Near Colorado Springs
One of my favorite parts about living in Colorado Springs is my close proximity to the mountains!! Nothing beats leaving a hot summer day in the Springs behind to drive up for a hike in the cool mountain air. There are a lot of hiking trails close to Colorado Springs, but my favorite area to go hiking at is near Mueller State Park in Divide. Now don’t get me wrong, Mueller State Park has some beautiful scenery and awesome hikes… however there are two trails across the highway from it that are literally breathtaking!! One is the Crags Trail, and the other is Raspberry Mountain! Raspberry Mountain trail is a seriously beautiful…

Hiking in Colorado: The Crags Trail near Colorado Springs
I know that Fall is beautiful in a lot of places, and not just Colorado. I know that…but it’s really hard to feel that after you spend your fall in the majesty of the orange and gold Aspen of the Colorado Rocky Mountains! Last September I got to fill my heart with fall colors unlike anything I had ever seen before!! I went on hikes, drives, day trips – you name it, and I tried to fit it into my days off! One of the best hikes I went on for fall colors was the Crags Trail in Divide. It was magical – it was so pretty I was angry for…

10 Things You Can’t Miss at the Grand Canyon’s South Rim!
I’ll be honest with you…it’s a little overwhelming to plan a trip to the Grand Canyon National Park. There’s basically a million web pages out there with tons of suggestions on what to see, where to eat, what to wear, what time to wake up, and how many pairs of underwear you should pack. It’s a monumental task just to sift through all that information alone! So what did I decide to do?? Write another post about it! I mean seriously, can you really call yourself a travel blogger if you visit the Grand Canyon and you don’t write a post about it?? I think not. So even though this information…
