I seriously debated titling this post “Guadalupe Peak: A Masochist’s Dream”, or even better, “Guadalupe Peak: What was almost my Grave.” In the end, however, I decided to stick to milk-toast “The Tallest Mountain in Texas”. You wouldn’t believe how far and long people will travel to see the Carlsbad Caverns. In my waitressing days in Carlsbad I would meet people from British Columbia, France, England, and a plethora of states who were passing through just for the Caverns.
